ROLE

STA Technologies develops unique anti-counterfeiting solutions for product and document security applications.  As part of these solutions, we create security features along with sensors to detect and authenticate these features. Our portfolio of sensors includes quality control tools, customer-facing measurement tools, and high-speed sensors in an industrial in-line environment.

You will be responsible for refining the existing sensor quality infrastructure and expanding the scope of the quality system.  This effort will include assuring that the quality system meets requirements from a variety of sources including compliance with ISO, internal and customer requirements.  You will also be responsible for establishing and monitoring quality metrics as the portfolio transitions from the development environment to a production environment.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Refining and/or establishing the quality system infrastructure and metrics for products from the development phase to the manufacturing phase.
  • Developing and monitoring the quality system to achieve and sustain low maintenance electronics products that may be operating at customer locations for more than 10 years.
  • Developing the quality manufacturing infrastructure including documentation and test fixture requirements across the full build cycle from incoming QC inspections through subsystem testing and to the final acceptance document to enable efficient production with high reliability results.
  • Coordinating and guiding development of quality control processes and fixtures at key vendors.  Establishing and monitoring quality metrics for all vendor provided components.
  • Evaluating ISO, internal and customer requirements and creating quality system products and documentation. Achieving and maintaining compliance with these requirements.
  • Providing expertise and guidance to our Sensor Research and Development and Manufacturing across the lifecycle of existing and new sensor products to ensure that our products have high quality and reliability built in.
  • Establishing and monitoring quality metrics for each of the products in the sensor portfolio as they transition from the development environment to a production environment.
  • Performing quality analyses such as FMEA and root cause; MTBF, Inherent Availability and similar lifecycle metrics.
  • Leading the analysis, documentation, and customer reporting of repaired products through our maintenance depot.  Providing expertise in the development of a manual depot monitoring system and then the transition to a web-based computerized monitoring system.
  • Assuring that experience gathered through failure analysis and feedback from Customer Technical Services is fed back to the development and manufacturing teams.
  • Establishing and supporting with data the justification of the criticality of system upgrades in an highly change-adverse environment
