To strengthen our Sensor Development team, we are looking for a



                                                                                 ELECTRONICS ENGINEER




Versatile and motivated electronic engineer able to work on research and development activities and contribute across multiple projects. Primary responsibilities are hands-on, but preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated the ability to work in multiple projects requiring interaction with interdisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists, as well as with external customers and collaborators.

Required tasks include development of printed circuit board of sensors or QC instruments for the authentication market. Candidate must have demonstrated experience developing hardware for low-power processors and microcontrollers, as well as programming in assembly or C. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with Altium software to design schematic and PCB. Position requires that applications interface with OEM/3rd party devices such as scientific instrumentation. Must be comfortable working with spectroscopic tools, especially in the area of data acquisition, analysis and algorithm development.



  • Participate in development projects
  • Integration of opto-electronic hardware components in sensors to create detection systems
  • Implement detection algorithms, code self-test and communication functions
  • Design verification and validation of system
  • Work with the engineering, R&D and manufacturing groups maintain, update and develop new features for current sensors or QC tools
  • Properly define project scope, and estimate work effort
  • Apply intensive and diverse knowledge of principles and practices in areas of assignment and related fields.  Must share learnings generously across the organization



  • Experience in C programming or equivalent low-level programing language
  • Experience in designing electronic schematic
  • Experience in printed circuit board design
  • Experience in test bench design and test coverage calculation
  • Capable of designing experiments to collect data
  • Capable of soldering printed circuit board and assemble sensor parts
  • Knowledgeable in optical system
  • Self-motivated with an ability to estimate work effort
  • Knowledge of good electronic development practices and ability to document work and function within a quality system (ISO 9001:2008)
  • Knowledge of Safety Awareness
  • Capable of defining project scope and project plan from requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and adapt approach to intended audiences. Communicates project needs, challenges, decisions and proposed solutions



  • B.S./M.S. Degree in an Electronic field with 2-6 years post-degree experience in a scientific or related technological field
