To strengthen our Sensor Development team, we are looking for a

 

 

 

                                                                 SR. SENSOR TECHNICIAN 

 

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

Under direct supervision, build, assemble, set up, test, maintain and repair electrical/electronic systems and devices. 
This role requires hands-on experience with electronics’ assembly, testing. 
Required tasks include assembly of printed circuit boards, assemble and cabling sensors or QC instruments. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in manufacturing electronics’ system according the field’s standards. 
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with electronics engineer to assemble new devices.

 


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Utilize various electronic test equipment, such as meters, oscilloscopes and power supplies
  • Develop and document test processes for electronic equipment
  • Design and document electronics and cable assemblies
  • Perform soldering and electronic repair
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level.
  • Participate in sensor industrialization
  • Assembly of electro-mechanical parts
  • Properly report work progress and raise any mismatch with initial plan

     

COMPETENCIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Experience in reading electronic schematic
  • Experience in printed circuit board troubleshooting
  • Experience in soldering printed circuit board and assemble sensor parts
  • Capable of performing experiments to collect data
  • Self-motivated with an ability to estimate work 
  • Knowledge of good electronics development practices and ability to document work 
  • Knowledge of Safety Awareness
  • Ability to write and speak effectively; state own opinions clearly and concisely; demonstrates openness and honesty; listens well during meetings and feedback sessions; explains reasoning behind own opinions; ask others for their opinions and feedback; ask questions to ensure understanding; exercises a professional approach with others using all appropriate communication tools; uses tact when offering opinions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent; BSc degree is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience electrical/electronics industry
