Electronics Senior Engineer & System Integrator

SICPA is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our cross-functional, international and multi-skilled team to drive successful design and development in the printing technology.

ELECTRONICS SENIOR ENGINEER & SYSTEM INTEGRATOR

ROLE:

• Architect, design and deliver innovative electronic systems to build industrial printing equipment
• Design complex electronic schematic and PCB layout
• Establish and update technical specifications by coordinating with customers, suppliers and manufacturers worldwide
• Develop and bring up prototypes and Proof of Concept solutions
• Provide technical support for production and operating environments
• Keep up-to-date with technology and international regulatory
• Document solutions according to internal rules and legal requirements
• Coordinate with engineers from different fields (electronics, mechanical, firmware, printing) for co-development

PROFILE: 

• Experience in high complexity PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) design is a must
• Experience in SOC (System On Chip) systems (embedded microprocessor / microcontroller) and embedded OS is a must
• 5-7 years in the fields of Hardware and system design, preferably from telecom and consumer industries is a must
• Ability to perform system requirement analysis, architecture design and subsystem hardware requirements definition
• Ability to follow up on regulatory compliance processes
• Experience in components integration, validation and test activities in laboratory 
• Knowledge of main core processors, digital signal processing, DC and stepper motor drivers, notions of analog design
• Knowledge of Supply Chain concept and constraints
• Ability to interface with customer and partners, and deliver oral presentations in international environment 
• Capability to troubleshoot, investigates bugs and provide technical support
• English is a must, Italian and French is a plus
• Good problem solver and innovative spirit, bringing ideas from conception to implementation in industrial environment
• Autonomous, curious, trustworthy and result-oriented
• Team player in a multi-cultural working environment with ability to work independently
• Availability to travel internationally if needed
• Experience with the following tools: ALTIUM recommended, ARM based platform, LT Spice, Xilinx ChipScope is a plus
• Knowledge of HDL/VHDL design, primarily for FPGA development is a plus
