Firmware Engineer

For the development of our Printing solutions, we are currently looking for a top motivated, hands-on: 

FIRMWARE ENGINEER

Role :

• Architect, design and deliver Software code in collaboration with Mechanical and Electronical engineer to develop Printer solutions
• Support and maintain the solution, manage obsolescence
• Provide development effort estimation to support the qualification process of Project and Delivery
• Apply state-of-the-art automated testing practices (unit, component, integration, acceptance tests)   
• Apply best software engineering practices (testing, documentation code review etc.)
• Apply agile methodologies throughout the development process: challenge and clarify requirements, and ensure timely delivery of top-quality features

Profile :

• Bachelor/Master Master degree in Computer Science with strong embedded solution orientation
• Demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) of applicable development in embedded OS (Linux is a must, Real Time OS)
• Strong programming language experience in C/C++ and script languages (like Python, bash, Lua, etc.)
• Ability to analyse and design complex software structure
• Deep understanding of hardware solutions (micro-controllers, RTL designs, etc.)
• Knowledge in control loops, especially in motor control  (DC, stepper motors)
• Experience with software description (UML), development methodologies (Test driven development, Agile) and collaborative tools (Confluence, JIRA, GIT)
• Experience with VHDL, QT, MATLAB/Octave is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to work in an international team of diverse skills
• Pro-active, autonomous, curious, trustworthy and result-oriented
• Fluent in English, Italian and French is a plus
