OT/IT Security Engineer

Within the Global Information System team (GIS) the Operational Technology (OT) / IT Security Engineer will implement and manage IT operations and security standards in the Chavornay industrial environment as well as in other OT environments globally, in strong coordination with the Industrial Technologies & Engineering (ITE) and Cyber Security teams.



  • Leading and participating in GIS projects in order to improve the overall Cyber Security level
  • In collaboration with Cyber Security team defining industrial network security standards and procedures and deploy them in industrial sites
  • Ensuring that good practices are embedded across all our industrial environment OT sites globally in coordination with corporate GIS and Cyber Security team
  • Anticipating and identifying projects and technology roadmap for budget preparation



  • Create, update and enforce Standard Operating Procedures  (SOP) and work instructions
  • Managing OT/IT Cyber Security incidents and tasks for GIS as Second Line Support (L2)
  • Managing and monitoring servers and endpoints in the OT network
  • Monitoring data transfer in/out of the OT network
  • Performing capacity planning, system patching and backups in the OT networks
  • Supervising all new OT systems implementation, including installation, configuration, hardening and connection
  • Performing security maintenance on the system in line with the company’s global policies
  • Maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) of all IT related items


  • Preferably a Master degree in a Technology related field of study or Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience
  • 3+ years of OT/Network/Servers administration experience
  • Knowledge and experience in administration of small-medium size IT infrastructures, including installing, configuring and hardening of Windows servers, Windows workstation and Network devices (switches, routers)
  • Knowledge and experience in operational and security monitoring, e.g. Nagios as well as in  firewalls (checkpoint), NAC and network security (Cisco devices)
  • ITIL certification and industrial environment OT best practices
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams across multiple countries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high level of diplomacy, customer focused
  • Experience in project management, a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies such as those used in industrial control systems
  • Ability to define and lead processes and to enforce procedures and policies
  • Fluent in written and spoken English/ French
