HSE Specialist

ROLE:
Assist management with understanding and implementing the QHSE Management System; monitoring QHSE
objectives; liaising with local contractors and agencies regarding QHSE; assessing local risks; generating local QHSE
procedures, work instructions, and checklists; preparing and monitoring QHSE plans that define how the QHSE
Management System is implemented at the location level; monitoring compliance to policies, standards and
procedures; compliance audits and self-audits.
Regulations Monitoring
Collects, assess and consolidates product safety data from the raw material supplier by:
- Requesting all relevant documents
- Evaluating accurace of content
- Assessing against SICPA standards
- Requesting further information if needed
- Confirmative evaluation that responds to the requirementof SICPA
Maintains and develops regulatory knowledge by
- Screening regular information provided by services providers to proactively initiate the upcoming regulatory changes
- Requesting specific assessments for the business through service providers
- Keeping up to date with national and international regulatory changes on chemicals
- Attending conferences and seminars
Compliance Risk, Recommendation and Services
- Provides recommendations and guidance to minimise risks and costs by evaluating impact on product safety and compliance and customer specific requirements
- Contributes to project/initiative to improve occupational health conditions, hygiene safety and environmental safety in the company
Audit Inspection and Visit
Executes the operational audits and/or HSE safety walks by;
- Sending the questionairres
- Consolidating the results and providing recommendations
- Transfering the report to the Manager
System quality and Operational quality
- - Coordination of local processes governance.
- - Perform internal audits (PCA).
- - Investigate and manage quality Incidents, Problems and Customer Complaint.
Information Sharing with External Stakeholders
Informs about potential hazards linked to SICPA products or other through safety data sheet and lables by;
- Sending out automatically safety data sheet for major changes
- Sending out updated safety data sheet and labels with following delivery
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, BSc/BA in Engineering, Environment or related field required.
- Training in Quality Managment, , Health and Safety, Administration, Public Health and knowledge level of regulatory compliance laws (OSHA) will also be considered
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001)
- Minimum of 3-4 years industrial and/or service industry experience
- Excellent experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Tools
- Experience in Supplier Quality Management
- Experience in Supplier, IMS and Process Audits
