To strengthen our team in Sierra Leone and the Gambia, we are looking for a:
BI Analyst
Purpose of the function
• Create, maintain, update, optimize, deploy and monitor BI solutions to support customer strategies related to risk profiling and law enforcement
• Responsible for the integration and analysis of data from multiple sources
• Manage development activities including technical analyses, estimates of effort, definition of scope and objectives, and coordination with other technical teams
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and alignment with business strategy
• Ensure compliance with policies related to data security and country-specific regulatory compliance procedures
• Develop test plans and verify test results
• Identify new technical challenges and propose solutions, enhancements and design improvements
• Prepare regular activity reports
• Troubleshoot performance issues
• Mentor and train other development and technical staff on the solution
• Collaboration, teamwork and exchange of knowledge in a geographically distributed and multicultural environment is expected
Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical or business)
• Five (5) years of experience in the implementation and support of business intelligence and reporting solutions
• Experience with project and change management methodologies
• Experience with enterprise business intelligence tools
• Strong analytical, data modelling and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Results oriented and goal driven personality
• Ability to prioritize and work independently
• Ability to work equally well with technical specialists and non-technical users
• Ability to maintain a positive and reliable work attitude even when confronted with high pressure situations
• Ability to work equally well with technical specialists and non-technical users
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple projects with varying priorities
• Availability to travel internationally, including temporary project assignments abroad
• Identify and quickly escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Fluent in written and spoken Local Language
