FUEL MARKING OPERATORS

 

 

 

Introduction:

 

Provide a professional, effective, and efficient marking of all statutorily designated petroleum products across all petroleum terminals, capturing of marking data and ensuring that all involved stakeholders within the petroleum industry receive the best service.
 

 

 

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Marking of petroleum products.
  • Ensuring all calculations are done correctly before marking of trucks.
  • Ensuring measuring of markers is done accurately and correct marker is used for export and local kerosene.
  • Ensuring that all quantities marker amounts are accounted for with the acceptable discrepancy level.
  • Ensuring all required personal protective equipment are used while in the terminal / depot.
  • Complying with all safety regulations of the hosted terminal / depot.
  • Ensuring all marker is return to the main store for accountability and reconciliation purposes during the end of every shift.
  • Reporting of any hazard observation and near miss concerning marking activities to Team Leader.
  • Building good working environment and teamwork with other marking inspectors.
  • Attending all trainings and safety talks.
  • Familiarizing with Microsoft excel sheets to help him in calculating volumes marked and marker used before submitting the same to Team Leader for review.
  • Compiling field data and reconciliation of marker balances on daily basis.
  • Maintaining safe custody of the markers.
  • Monitoring and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Maintaining proper filing records for future reference.
  • Ensure that the established systems meet their required objectives
  • Building good customer relations on behalf of the company

 

 

Personal qualities & abilities required:

 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the job function consistent with SOPs, SICPA, terminal safety guidelines, meeting quantitative and qualitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance.
  • Physical fitness that enables tankers, bulk tank and vessel marking

 

 

Your profile

 

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an industry set-up.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good written and verbal communication. 
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools (Excel / Word).
  •  Ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Customer oriented attitude.
  • Ability to analyze data and report it in a presentable manner
