We are expanding our Enterprise Architecture practice and seeking a Business Architect to enhance the alignment between our IT application and service portfolio and the evolving needs of the business. In this role, you will ensure that our applications and services deliver optimal value for cost, support informed investment decisions, and contribute to long‑term efficiency and transparency across IT and business domains.

 

As a Business Architect, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, the Enterprise Architect, and IT teams acting as a trusted strategic partner rather than a delivery or solution‑design role. You will play a pivotal part in bridging business priorities with IT capabilities, defining and maintaining the business architecture of the organization.

 

You will also operate across departmental and functional boundaries, as internal solutions are frequently extended to serve other business areas and external‑facing initiatives, requiring a consistent architectural view across the organization.

 

Your focus will be to ensure that business capabilities, processes, and value streams are fully aligned with our strategic objectives and supported by a coherent and future‑ready architecture landscape.

 

ROLE

 

  • Develop and maintain the Business Capability Map and ensure its alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to model value streams, business processes, and operating models.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify capability gaps, redundancies, and transformation opportunities.
  • Define and maintain business architecture standards, principles
  • Map business capabilities to applications and data assets in coordination with Application/Solution Architects.
  • Support enterprise transformation, portfolio planning, and initiative prioritization using business architecture artifacts.
  • Provide business context for solution and technical architecture decisions during project planning and design.
  • Contribute to the definition of target state architecture from a business perspective.
  • Participate in governance processes to ensure architectural compliance and documentation.
  • Participate in cross‑departmental and cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring that internal solutions designed for one business area are reusable, scalable, and integrates with other departments and potential external‑facing projects.
  • Act as a connector across business domains, aligning architectural decisions between departments to avoid duplication and maximize the value of internal shared solutions.

PROFILE

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, including application, data, and infrastructure layers.
  • Strong understanding of capability modeling, operating models, and business process frameworks.
  • Experience with solution design methodologies and modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML).
  • Familiarity with EA frameworks (TOGAF, or Zachman).
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead workshops and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adaptability and a proactive mindset in dynamic environments.

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years in IT architecture, solution design, or business analysis roles.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation or digitalization projects.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Experience using architecture modeling tools (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq, Sparx EA).
