PHYSICAL SECURITY OFFICER 

ROLE

 

As a Physical Security Officer, you will support the implementation and coordination of security measures across several sites in Switzerland and internationally. You will contribute to safeguarding our people, assets, and operations by ensuring effective physical security practices aligned with corporate policies, standards, and best practices.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and support the implementation of security measures across multiple sites in Switzerland and internationally, particularly in Africa.
  • Contribute to intrusion prevention, critical asset protection, and business continuity by overseeing physical security systems, access control, incident management, and emergency response processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders locally and at headquarters to assess existing security practices, identify vulnerabilities, and analyze threats affecting personnel, facilities, operations, and supply chains.
  • Investigate, document, and report security or safety incidents to management while recommending appropriate corrective measures.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of third-party security providers, manage related contracts, and define and monitor relevant performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies, local emergency services, and other external partners.
  • Design and deliver training programs in physical security and emergency management, and conduct targeted awareness sessions for employees.
  • Perform close protection assignments during travel in Switzerland and abroad, including the preparation and execution of VIP protection plans adapted to various environments.
  • Plan and implement security measures for events, travel, and high-risk situations.
  • Support the management of emergencies and incidents, including evacuation coordination, medical response, and logistical support.

PROFILE

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in security roles (military, law enforcement, or corporate security), including international exposure and at least 2–3 years in close protection assignments.
  • Close Protection certification from a recognized authority or accredited training institution (e.g. CNAPS, SIA, or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English (additional languages are an asset).

 

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Experience with security technologies such as CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with experience working autonomously as well as with remote teams.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and adaptability.
  • Excellent physical condition.
  • Advanced first aid, defensive driving, or crisis management are considered an asset.
  • High level of flexibility and availability to respond to emergencies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and operate in diverse cultural environments.
