User Experience (UX) Design Strategist



Leveraging decades of expertise in security inks and solutions, SICPA aims at providing the next generation of trust-enabling security systems for citizens, central banks and governments in the domains of digital currency, identity and value chains. This is a great opportunity to join a strategic project and work with a team of passionate people to design, architect and develop innovative solutions.





  • Help shape the fundamental design strategy for an important initiative that requires sensitivity to broad spectrum of social & cultural factors.
  • Help grow the community and practice of design at SICPA by building strong links with cross-department design teams, additionally exchanging with the global Human Experience community to be the source of competitive positioning as well as product inspiration.
  • Have meaningful impact on all the design work of the Digital Lab; from the strategic framing of the challenge spaces early in the journey, through to the later implementation of meaningful and persistently high quality interactions and user experiences.
  • Find novel ways to build a sustainable culture of product & service design within the organization, including collaborating closely with our development team to build solid foundation for future product development.
  • Own the discussion and advancement of thinking around currency trust rituals and their social and cultural context.
  • Map the use cases and social value systems of digital currency within the across various global contexts.
  • Design & deliver, together with the team, a robust foundation of a currency UX framework.
  • Drive cooperation with ToIP HXWG and the wider UX community.





  • You have relevant product, service or UX design skills and a demonstrated track record crafting meaningful products and experiences.
  • You are able to plan & conduct user research for digital products and services, with a strong ability to frame key questions and synthesize findings into meaningful, actionable insights, as well as use them to shape & lead strategic systems thinking.
  • You are passionate about your craft and have strong hands-on skills to create prototypes for new product ideas and tangibly demonstrate your design research and vision.
  • You are highly empathetic and well versed in human centred design with experience developing key insights about diverse audiences, understanding how people interact with different interfaces to achieve degrees of trust.
  • Also, you have experience in one of the domains of identity, currency or payment systems and are comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams with developers, engineers and product owners to identify & translate customer needs to tangible results.
  • Besides being a great listener, you are an educator that acts a mentor to team members to improve their skills.
  • You thrive in asynchronous communication environments and can express clearly your ideas and thinking, both visually and in written form.
  • Beyond that you have exceptional communication and storytelling skills with ability to influence a broad audience (from highly technical to managerial) on design strategy, methodology & UX/UI topics, expressing concisely and visualising otherwise hard concepts.
  • You are comfortable to work in a fuzzy problem space, and enjoy translating initial experiments into requirements, and map to system view.
  • Creative critical thinker with a positive, can-do attitude, you bring new ideas and you are a fast learner
  • You’re fluent in English (French is an asset).
  • You have executional skills in Miro, Framer, Sketch, Adobe Creative suite, and other design software tools.
