SALES EXECUTIVE - DOCUMENT SECURITY SOLUTIONS & BRAND PROTECTION

 

 

Overview: The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and driving sales strategies for SICPA South Africa’s security inks for value documents (such as Passports, ID’s, Certificates, Bonds) and brand protection security labels. This is a new position, and the role will require extensive travel within South Africa and to neighbouring countries. The individual will need to leverage their deep industry experience to expand SICPA's presence in the security document and brand protection sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Drive sales of security inks and labels for value documents, building relationships with private and state security printers.
  • Market Knowledge: Use industry expertise to identify potential clients within the security document market, including security printers (private and state).
  • Travel: Regular travel throughout South Africa and to neighbouring countries (Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini) to meet clients, deliver presentations, and secure contracts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the security printing and related industries.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring that SICPA’s value proposition is communicated effectively to clients.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and assess industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to align sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Sales and Marketing would be advantageous or Certifications in sales, marketing, or security printing (such as Certified Sales Professional or similar).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales within the security document or related industries (security inks, security paper, security printing).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the security document market, including private and state security printers.
  • Sales Experience: Proven track record of successful sales, with experience in selling technical products to decision-makers in the printing and security industries.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Portuguese or French) would be beneficial given regional travel requirements.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel extensively both within South Africa and to neighbouring countries.
