Application Support & IT Team Leader

Aim of the job:


  • As an IT Team Leader must coordinate and delegate objectives and responsibilities trough all IT Team. Lead IT projects and IT service review with improvement actions to related with the OLA on the service.
  • As an SRE, we are currently seeking an experienced SRE who practices strong incident resolution and troubleshooting practices (root causes analysis, ITIL, software tool to automate IT tasks) with skilled experience and demonstrates an informed viewpoint and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to improve the support, operation and development (through cross-functional participation) of our solution.


Objectives of this role


  • Lead the IT team in order to maintain the availability and performance of the production environment considering the expected SLA;
  • Supervise the daily operations of both infrastructure and networks, database and application support, maintenance and replacement of components in IT systems; aligning the use of IT tools and procedures with the company's global policies.
  • Ensuring that project information and data are backed up and protected.
  • Coordinate priorities and SLA´s issues with the Operations Manager
  • Communicate the scope and architecture of the solution so that business leaders understand the contribution of the IT group as well as the technologies needed to meet the demands.
  • Create and develop reports to management of the different activities carried out;
  • Organize and promote talks and workshops for the transfer of knowledge within the technology group.
  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
  • Lead and assist in implementing SRE best practices in the team and collaborations with other teams



  • Ensure, together with the IT team, the registration of activities and demands seeking the correct governance of the environment as well as the monitoring of the team's service capacity.
  • Definition and monitoring of team objectives seeking to achieve the company’s strategic objectives and area’s objectives as well.
  • Define and follow up the objectives of the IT team members
  • Provide guidance and removes roadblocks among parties to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Assesses and commits the correct allocation of resources of the projects and operations based on employees technical and competences and identify key development needs
  • Gather, analyze metrics from systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
  • Continuously implement any automation which improve the operation and reliability of the operation





  • Basic education and training: College degree or technical training in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of training, and/or experience
  • Professional experience:  At least 4 years in software development, troubleshooting, log analysis, root cause analysis; with demonstrable approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. Experience leading IT teams and knowledge ITIL management systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrated abilities to diagnose and analyze software issues. Experienced with quality and performance monitoring processes.


Knowledge, skills:      


Language skills: Fluent in English


Technical skills:


  • Linux and VM.
  • Database
  • Python and other High level languages
  • OpenShift, Kubernetes, Nagios and Splunk (desirable)
  • IT support procedures and tools
