To strengthen our Human Resources team, we are looking for a
PAYROLL & BENEFITS MANAGER
ROLE
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees of a multi-entity, multistate organization
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including timely processing of wage garnishments, child support orders, and employee contributions and deductions.
• Set up new entity state withholding accounts as needed.
• Responsible for processing year-end information including W2s and 1095cs
• Overall responsibility for UKGPro system management, data integrity, and end-user training
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll and benefits data, and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Work closely with other members of the HR team, as well as Accounting, to assist with reconciliations for payroll related accounting entries
• Ensure data accuracy for new hires, terminations, and employee requested changes into payroll system
• Ensure compliance with relevant federal and statutory regulations and requirements, including but not limited to FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc., for assigned employee benefit programs
• Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, providing prompt and accurate information and resolutions
• Coordinate and facilitate the annual open enrollment process
• Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, medical/dental/vision plans, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs
• Process workers’ compensation, short-term disability, and long-term disability claims
• Assist with the data collection and submission for annual reporting and audits, including but not limited to AAP, EEOC, VETS100, Workers’ Compensation, 401K, etc.
PROFILE
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with multi-state payroll
• Strong knowledge of UKGPro, ADP or other payroll system is required
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, employee benefits administration, and state-specific employment and benefit regulations
• Strong technical aptitude: proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive information in a professional manner
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task with extreme attention to detail
• FPC/CPP Certification required
