To strengthen our Quality Systems team, we are looking for a

 

 

                                                                                                       QUALITY ENGINEER

 

 

ROLE

 

 

You will be responsible for supporting the Quality Systems Department in Springfield, VA. Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager, the Quality Engineer will be detail-oriented have at least 5 years of experience in quality systems with an emphasis in auditing and root cause analysis, ensuring our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The individual should exhibit a high level of emotional intelligence, independence and initiative in driving for results under precise time constraints.

You will also be responsible for the following tasks: 

 

 

  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality processes and systems.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and audit reports.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality training programs.

PROFILE

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality systems, with a focus on audits and root cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Attention to detail a must with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using quality tools and methodologies.
  • Certified ISO 9001:2015 auditor preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence others to action.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, JMP a plus.
