SALES DIRECTOR
US STATE GOVERNMENT

 

 

ROLE

 

 

The Sales Director for the U.S. State Government will inform and execute the business strategy, develop and sustain relationships, and ensure the growth of SICPA‘s top-line revenues. Applicant will work to ensure alignment of SICPA’s portfolio of products and services to the requirements of US state government agencies with a focus on departments of revenue and taxation. Secondary agency focus includes central IT, public health and public safety solutions.

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities as required to meet SICPA sales goals within the US State government market.
  • Coordinate SICPA sales strategies and develop and execute capture plans in conjunction with SICPA internal resources and SICPA partner organizations
  • Develop and deliver professional customer-focused sales communications, presentations, proposals and other resources in collaboration with other internal resources as appropriate
  • Demonstrate proficiency at navigating and engaging business, technology, procurement, and executive stakeholders
  • Establish and nurture trust-based relationships with key decision makers and influencers in our target markets
  • Understand and convey SICPA’s value proposition and solution portfolio for meeting market challenges and specific customer and prospect needs
  • Develop and share market insights and competitive intelligence to help shape SICPA’s market and solution strategies
  • Establish strong internal relationships to ensure organizational alignment around objectives, key messages and deliverables for prospects and customers
  • Manage existing SICPA customer relationships for continued customer satisfaction, growth, and new opportunity development

 

 

PROFILE

 

 

  • 10+ years of experience in sales or business development roles
  • Proven track record selling COTS or MOTS software solutions to US state government agencies
  • Experience and disciplined use of solution selling methodology, capture management process, and CRM tools
  • An established base of contacts in relevant State agencies and government contractor community
  • Drive to win, with strong teamwork and ethics
  • Strong ability to understand business priorities, position solution potential, and positively and efficiently impact and influence others
  • Understands US state government funding and procurement policies and channels
  • Problem solver with the ability to assess opportunities and risks and make sound decisions
  • Bachelor or Masters degree, preferably in business, law, economics, finance, political science, or technology
