Data and Performance Manager
The Data & Performance Manager leads a small, high impact team responsible for delivering trusted data, actionable insights, and performance capabilities across the organization. This role blends hands on technical leadership with strategic planning, stakeholder partnership, team development and project/program management. You will ensure the business has the data foundation, tools, and guidance needed to make informed decisions and drive operational excellence.
ROLE
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of around three data professionals.
• Build a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Establish and guide Power BI and performance cross-functional communities
• Plan, build and maintain capabilities in dashboarding, data analysis, KPI design, and modern data practices to ensure up-to-date skills for the whole community and all functions.
Team planning and backlog management
• Manage stakeholders’ requests, maintain the backlog.
• Define team roadmap and annual budget.
Data Platform & Modeling
• Plan, build and maintain state-of-the-art data platform for SDO.
• Ensure that data models are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business processes.
• Promote strong data governance, documentation, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Partnership & Coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business data and performance topics for SDO.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Business, GIS, etc)
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for information systems (GIS) and prioritize them effectively.
• Facilitate alignment through structured communication, expectation setting, and regular updates.
• Promote shared understanding of KPIs, data definitions, and performance frameworks.
Dashboards, KPIs & Insights Delivery
• Collect, prioritize, and deliver business requirements for dashboards and analytical products.
• Ensure KPIs are consistent, meaningful, and actionable.
• Support teams in interpreting insights and embedding them into decision making.
• Monitor data and dashboard utilization.
• Lead champion user community for PowerBI.
• Develop and maintain management dashboard (SDO Board).
Process Mining & Performance Improvement
• Build and expand process mining capabilities to identify inefficiencies.
• Lead performance related initiatives and ensure insights translate into measurable impact.
Project & Roadmap Ownership
• Lead cross functional data and performance projects from scoping to delivery.
• Build and maintain the data & performance roadmap.
• Ensure timely, high quality execution of initiatives.
PROFILE
• Strong experience with modern data platforms, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Familiarity with process mining tools.
• Solid understanding of KPIs and performance measurement.
• Experience leading small teams or mentoring junior colleagues.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Comfortable balancing hands on work with strategic planning.
