We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our company.

 

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT  

 

ROLE
  
• Preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards, group policies, and tax rules (both statutory and group/management financial statements).  
• Preparation, compilation, and submission of the company budget to management and Group offices for approval.  
• Monitoring invoice collection on a daily basis and identifying potential discrepancies to maintain accurate customer account balances.  
• Liaising with suppliers to ensure vendor documentation is accurate, negotiations are handled properly, services are delivered on time, and payment reconciliations are completed.  
• Ensuring accurate posting of all transactions in the accounting system, for instance SAP.  
• Liaising with internal auditors, external auditors, tax consultants, and tax authorities for different audits or engagements with the company.  
• Responsible for timely collection of receivables and cash collections from customers.  
• Assisting the Finance Manager in cashflow monitoring and cash optimisation.  
• Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.  
• Ensuring accurate maintenance, recording, and reconciliation of the fixed assets register, as well as safeguarding company assets.  
• Assisting in preparing forecasts, financial simulations, and specific analyses and reports in consultation with relevant executive team members.  
• Ensuring reconciliation and cleanup of all General Ledger accounts on a daily basis.  
• Managing the monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.  
• Managing daily activities for Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Treasury activities, and Cost Accounting.  
• Declaration of all reports required under local law (Albanian law).  
• Ability to manage the duties of the Finance Manager during his/her absence.  
• Any other duties assigned by the line manager.

 

PROFILE  

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.  
• 5 years’ experience in Finance Controlling, Management Accounting, or Financial Reporting in an international service/project-based organization.  
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.  
• Knowledge of financial reporting and local and state laws regarding accounting.  
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  
• Good knowledge of office software and an ERP system (ideally SAP).
