To strengthen our R&D Services department, we are looking for a:

 

Product Compliance Specialist


ROLE:

 

• Run regulatory watch in the frame of national and international chemical regulations. Assess the obtained results on a regular basis to detect upcoming regulations or changes of the existing regulatory framework.
• Measure the rate of conformity through data analysis and performance indicators, share the results and assess the impact on SICPA business and product portfolio.
• Grant access to markets by cooperating upstream with raw material suppliers and when required run product registration and/or notification. Run and coordinate chemical characterization or toxicological studies and properly manage the obtained data. 
• Develop company-wide standards and best practices, facilitate their international deployment and train local internal stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with SICPA legal entities towards the fulfilment of local regulatory requirements including customer specific requirements, deal with local service providers and customers to define the most suitable and accurate solution.
• Work in collaboration with R&D teams developing new products as for example polymers and organic/inorganic markers to enable and maintain the fulfilment of regulatory conformity of future generations of security features for banknotes or product markers.
• Work with project teams in the frame of tender processes by assessing specific requirements according to the application of our solutions as for example application on food packaging, jewellery, or electronic devices.


PROFILE:

 

• BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in a position related to regulatory affairs, product safety or product development in the chemical industry
• Strong knowledge of chemical regulations; familiarity with REACH, CLP, GHS and other chemical regulatory schemes is highly desirable
• Strong organization skills, combined with analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present highly technical, complex and detailed issues & topics effectively, in a very clear and concise manner and proven experience writing detailed technical reports
• Fluency in English, French minimum B2 level
• Strong computer skills in MS Office, knowledge of SAP would be an asset
